Matthew J. Gambill
Food & Beverage Director
Mr. Gambill has over two decades of food and beverage industry experience. With his extensive education and training, as well as his positive attitude, he has excelled in his industry’s high-pressure and fast-paced environment. He is results-driven and a motivated customer service enthusiast, while also being detail-oriented and having exceptional instincts for meeting high expectations and delivering service standards.
Matt currently serves as the Food & Beverage Director for Gather House Concepts, where he has coordinated and overseen the food and beverages operations and programs for seven restaurants/pubs with annual sales of $20MM. He has sourced and successfully negotiated contracts leading to $60,000+ in transition funds and $25,000 in signing bonuses. Matt manages and motivates employees with effective training, development, goal setting, and constructive feedback. His management and training focus on expediting service operations, while maintaining excellent customer and public relations.
Mr. Gambill was previously the Beverage Director for Hospitality USA, where among his roles he marketed and managed the promotion of all beverage products by developing and creating an award-winning specialty drink menu, wine list, cocktail program, as well as drink specials. He also successfully negotiated and managed several contracts through rapport building, problem-solving and decisive decision making, in the end increasing vendor marketing support by over 20%. Matt has an additional 10 years of food and beverage industry experience in various director and management roles for companies including The Isle Casino & Racing, Las Vegas Hilton, Gaylord Opryland and Caesar’s Palace.
A graduate of The University of Houston, Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel & Restaurant Management as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
